Scripture: 2 Samuel 18:5-9, 15, 31-33; Ephesians 4:25-52

David lived a complicated life – chosen by God, anointed by prophets, identified as one who is “after God’s own heart”; but also a life full of violence, with plenty of lies and betrayals, and sins so big that it’s hard to imagine.  Near the end of David’s life, he sees the consequences of his life of violence bear fruit within his own household, and one of his sons leads a rebellion against him. Today, we explore the consequences of our actions, and how God is faithful to us – even in the midst of real pain, difficulty, and consequences.
