Communion (also known as The Lord’s Supper or The Eucharist) is an ancient Christian practice that churches have been celebrating since the time of Jesus.  It’s an opportunity to tell the story of Jesus, re-enact his last supper with his disciples, remember his amazing love for us, and encounter God. 

We celebrate communion each Sunday at Haymarket Church. When we celebrate communion, everyone is welcome to participate; no matter what age you are, whether or not you are a member of Haymarket Church (or any church) – you are always welcome to participate in communion, because the communion table belongs to Jesus and Jesus welcomes all people, no matter what.

Communion is a holy and powerful ritual, but for people with food allergies, it can also be a little scary.  (Our Pastor has severe food allergies in his family, so he’s very aware of the importance of being aware of ingredients.)  If you have food allergies, we always have an option for communion wafers that are gluten-free and free of the top eight major allergens.  Simply ask and we will share one of those wafers with you.
