Welcome to Haymarket Church!
Church is a place where we get to worship God, connect with others, serve the world, and grow in faith. Check out the opportunities to get connected and grow in faith this fall. Contact email@example.com for more information about any of these areas, or reach out to one of the email addresses listed below. If you’re new to Haymarket Church, make sure to check out the “I’m New” page on our website.
We gather for worship each Sunday at 10 AM at Gravely Elementary School (4670 Waverly Farm Drive, Haymarket). Worship includes music, prayer, Scripture, a message connecting faith to everyday life, communion, age-appropriate opportunities for children to learn and grow, and more.
Music is an essential part of our worship. If you’re interested in singing or playing an instrument with our worship band, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
A weekly group for 6th-12th grade students. This groups meets on Sunday nights (beginning September 9th) from 6-8 PM at the Old Bank Building (14951 Washington Street, Haymarket). Every gathering includes games, free dinner, community, and an opportunity to grow in faith. For more information, contact Kim Johnson at youth@HaymarketChurch.org.
Children begin each Sunday morning in worship with their families. After our opening singing and prayer, as the rest of the church prepares for the sermon, the children (3 years old through 5th grade) are invited to join one of our many amazing teachers in one of our classrooms for Kid’s Ministry. During this time, while Scripture is read and the sermon preached in our main worship area, the children explore Scripture and dive into God’s story in a way that is tailored to their age, learning styles, and developmental needs. For more information, contact Susan.Pullin@HaymarketChurch.org.
Meeting once a month beginning in September, this group is an opportunity for upper elementary school students to build relationships, have fun, grow in (and get excited about) faith, and have a place in church that’s just for them. We go on monthly adventures, meeting immediately after worship and heading off for fun (bowling, mini-golf, etc.). For more information or to fill out the required permission slips, contact Susan.Pullin@HaymarketChurch.org.
Sunday, September 16. Show up to worship at 10 AM, and by 1 PM, you will have helped us package more than 15,000 meals to feed hungry people around the world. Children ages 3 and up will be able to participate. Nursery care is provided.
We are serving as the primary hospitality station for Haymarket Day – a major street festival here in the town of Haymarket. We will be providing cold water, activities for kids, restroom facilities, changing stations, a nursing station, and more! Help us serve our community and support an awesome event in our town. Contact Jovonne.Williams@HaymarketChurch.org to help with this great event.
It takes a lot of people to help make worship happen. We need people to help setup and cleanup our space, to run technology, to teach our children, to help in the nursery, and more. In addition, we need greeters, Scripture readers, and communion servers each week during worship. All of these are opportunities to meet new people and help make a difference! Contact Brian.Johnson@HaymarketChurch.org to find your place.
Wednesday nights, once a month, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Gather for good food, good conversation, and the opportunity to worship God in a different way. We read Scripture, pray, explore faith, and eat together. Meeting the 2nd Wednesday of the month September through December.
Pub Theology is an opportunity to gather, have meaningful conversations, build relationships, and have a great time. We talk about important topics for faith and life while sharing good food and drink. All perspectives are welcome! We meet on the second Thursday of each month, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Giuseppe’s in Haymarket (15120 Washington Street).
