Scripture: Isaiah 11:1-10; Luke 1:5-20

This is a season full of distractions – parties to plan, gifts to buy, travel to schedule – and it’s easy, in the midst of everything that’s happening, to miss out on the heart of the Christmas story.  In today’s reading from Luke, Zechariah misses out on the story of another reason – he is overflowing with doubt.  In the midst of doubts and distractions, the Christmas story offers us hope.

This Week: Do something nice for someone who is struggling during the holiday season.

Find time to slow down and listen for God’s voice in the midst of the holiday rush.
