Scripture: 2 Kings 2:1-12; Mark 9:2-9
This week we are telling two stories of God’s mysterious presence – Elijah being taken into God’s presence (and out of this life) via a divine whirlwind, and the disciples seeing divine light shining through Jesus on the mountaintop. These stories are hard to fathom, but they also tell us something about the powerful mystery that we encounter when God’s love shows up in our lives.
