Our sermon series for Lent is called Interrupted by God, and we are telling stories of divine interruptions from Scripture. Today’s story is a moment when Jesus sought out divine interruption – he went into the wilderness looking for God to break into his life, give him new strength, and lead him in a new direction. Lent is a season when we go looking for God to do something new in our lives, and take on spiritual disciplines that will make space for God to invade our day-to-day routine and do something new and special.
