Holy week is the last week before Easter, a time when Christians tell the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our Holy Week worship schedule will include:

Palm/Passion Sunday (April 14) Worship at 10 AM at Gravely Elementary School (4670 Waverly Farm Drive, Haymarket). Participate in the story of Christ’s last week – from his triumphal entry on Palm Sunday to his death on the Cross a few days later. Experience the power of how far God goes out of love for us.

Holy Thursday (April 18) Stations of the Cross and Open Prayer Space: Experience the story of the last hours of Jesus through art and prayer. Come to the Old Bank Building (14951 Washington Street, Haymarket) any time between 8 AM and 7 PM, for a quiet time to reflect on the death of Jesus through art and guided prayer. The experience should take about 15-30 minutes (depending on how quickly/slowly you do it), and can be done alone or in groups.

Good Friday (April 19) Service of Scripture, Darkness, and Song: Encounter the power of the last days of Jesus through an experiential worship service at 7:30 PM at the Old Bank Building.

Easter Sunrise (April 21) on the Roof: Join Peter, Thomas and Mary Magdelene at Sunrise on Easter morning, as they discover the empty tomb. A short celebratory service of scripture, song and communion at 6:30 AM on the roof of the Old Bank Building will be led by Deb Angerman and some of our college students. Come be the first to see He is risen indeed!

Easter Sunday (April 21) Worship: Gather at 10 AM at Gravely Elementary School to worship and celebrate the Good News that even death cannot defeat the power of God’s love!

Easter Sunday (April 21) Pancake Breakfast: Start your Easter Sunday with free pancakes, sausage, and fun with the people of Haymarket Church!

Easter Sunday (April 21) Free Family Photographs: Everyone who attends worship on Easter Sunday will have the opportunity to get a free professional family photograph from our amazing friends at Elisabeth Bryson Photography. Photographs will be taken immediately after worship.  Wear your Easter best and make a family memory that will last!
