Scripture: Romans 13:8-10; Matthew 18:6-9

John Wesley was the founder of the Methodist movement – the Christian renewal movement that later became the United Methodist Church. Wesley was passionate about helping Christians live their faith – not just believe the right things, but actually live the way Jesus told us to live and grow closer to God. In order to help us do that, John Wesley gave the Methodist movement three simple rules. They are simple, but they’re not easy. And yet, if we allow them to guide us, they give us a simple pattern for evaluating our decisions and living the way of Jesus. Today we cover the first rule: Do no harm.
