Scripture: 1 Samuel 15:34-16:13; Mark 4:1-20
We are constantly measuring ourselves against others – by our power, prestige, physical attractiveness, success, money in the bank, how charismatic or funny we are – the list goes on and on. And, even if we find a way not to compare ourselves to others, the broader world, it often seems is obsessed with evaluating us – measuring us and our goodness. But, God’s way of measuring us is different. While the world looks on what it can see, God looks on our hearts, and evaluates us based on what God finds there. And, the Good News, is that, when God looks at us, what God sees is Jesus, who has given everything for us.
