Due to the predicted snow and freezing temperatures, we will NOT meet for youth group tonight. (January 19)
Instead, you have homework.
- This morning in worship, Pastor Brian said: “The best way to evaluate whether a church is doing its job isn’t ‘are the people who go there happy,’ but ‘are the lives of their neighbors better because that church exists?'” (Missed worship- the sermon is here and it’s a pretty good one!)
So, over your next 4(+?) days, our question is how are YOU going to make the life of a neighbor better? Remember your neighbors aren’t necessarily just the people who live next door. Our whole community is full of neighbors.
Will you shovel snow for someone? Will you do chores without asking? Will you write a note to someone who has impacted your life? Will you reach out to someone you haven’t seen at youth group in a while?
How will you take time out of your snowy days off to care for someone else?
