Apr. 14, 2019 – How Will You Respond?

Series: #nofilter Asking Life’s Essential (& Uncomfortable) Questions

Scripture: Luke 19:28-40; Philippians 2:5-11

Today we tell the story of the last week of Jesus’ life – from his triumphal entry into Jerusalem to his death on the cross less than a week later.  This was a dramatic turnaround – from being celebrated as the conquering hero to being rejected and killed by the same people.  In the midst of this week of highs and lows, Jesus cries out to God, seemingly experiencing a sense of total forsakenness and abandonment?

This Week: Read Luke 22:1-23:56 each day this week.  This should take about 15 minutes per day if you read slowly.  Take time to really dwell on the story of the suffering and death of our Lord, and think about what it means for us.

Make time to worship with us on Good Friday, at 7:30 PM at the Old Bank Building, so that you can take the time to experience the story of the suffering and death of Jesus.

Plan to be in worship with us on Easter Sunday to celebrate the Good News of the Resurrection – that even death can’t stop the power of God’s love!
