Scripture: Isaiah 60:1-6; Ephesians 3:1-12; Matthew 2:1-12
Today is Epiphany Sunday, a day when we celebrate God’s light being revealed in this world through Jesus Christ. Today’s reading from Ephesians talks about a mystery that God has revealed to us. The birth (and life) of Jesus helps us to understand something unimaginable – the heart of God, and just how deeply God loves us. By taking on our flesh, God teaches us things that we could otherwise never understand.
This Week: As we begin this new year, take a moment to think about how you want to follow God and grow in love in this new year. Make a commitment to live love more fully.
Take a moment to pause and think about the mysteries in your life. What makes you curious? What do you wish you knew?
What can we learn about God from the life of Jesus that we couldn’t learn from a book of facts about God? How does Jesus help us know God better?
