November 10, 2019 – Does What I Do Matter?

Series: Am I Enough?: Trusting God in a World of Fear

Rev. Brian Johnson

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Colossians 3:12-17

Sometimes, we feel like we’re not important because we don’t do the “special” or “up-front” tasks – whether at work, in our families, in our neighborhoods, or at church.  Perhaps we feel like our roles are overlooked, or like they aren’t as important as what others do.  But Scripture tells us that even the smallest or most “behind the scenes” tasks are essential to the functioning of a healthy community.

This Week: Think of someone (or several someones) in your life who does work that often goes unappreciated.  Write a thank you note to them.

Make a list of the things you do that you might feel go unnoticed.  Remind yourself that God notices them, and that they matter to God.
